1. Overview of GAS MIXER
Various gases are used in the incubation experiment, and air, N2, CO2, and O2 gases are normally supplied.
It receives signals from sensors and signals which ones will be supplied more.
The signal is received from the DO sensor and pH sensor connected to the experimental equipment, and air, N2, CO2, and O2 gas
1) Automatic and manual modes
When the three-point switch is in manual mode, 220v of power is applied to the solenoid valve, and the solenoid valve is opened and gas
When switching to automatic mode, 220v of power is automatically applied to the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve opens only while the
signal is received, allowing gas to enter.
The solenoid valve is operated by receiving an automatic control signal from the fermenter control furnace.
2) GAS MIXER Signalling System
The AIR-connected solenoid valve turns the solenoid valve on/off by a dissolved oxygen signal from the Vessel fermenter for media feed.
The current measured DO Sensor signal is greater than the DO Sensor setting.
If low, the solenoid valve is open to raise the DO value. If you want to use the air side as a pure hydroxy source to increase the DO
value, the dissolved oxygen signal of the Vessel for media supply in the air connection solenoid valve is used.
Open the solenoid valve. If the currently measured DO signal is lower than the DO signal set, it is open to raise the DO value.
The user connects the pure oxygen gas here.
The N2 connecting solenoid valve turns the solenoid valve on/off by a dissolved oxygen signal from the Vessel fermenter for media feed.
To lower the DO value when the currently measured DO Sensor signal is higher than the DO Sensor setting.
The CO2 connecting solenoid valve turns the solenoid valve on/off by the pH hydrogen ion signal of the fermenter. If the measured
pH Sensor signal is higher than the pH Sensor signal set on the screen, it is open to lower the pH value.
When the solenoid valve is opened, carbon dioxide gas is injected and the pH value is lowered.
The acid output signal in the pH circuit is connected to the solenoid here and used here.
The AUX connection has no solenoid valve, and the normal air is connected to manually inject air.
It can be used in a variety of ways by the user.
3) GAS MIXER Gas Supply And Discharge
Connect the external air and gas to each of the four ports on the back of the controller.
The fifth port is connected directly to the spazer or supplied to the Vessel for cartridge and media feed through the fermenter controller.
4) Pressure Control of GAS MIXER
Each gas is supplied from the Supply Tank and the Air Compressor, and the supplied gas has a high pressure, so a device is required to
control the appropriate pressure.
The pressure-regulating valve is applied to the regulator valve, which is capable of fine adjustment.
If you adjust the pressure, you can check it by Pressure Gauge.
The amount of gas entering can be seen through the Air Flow Meter.
